We search not just here in the United States, but all over the world! KARIN specializes in German-language books, particularly German and Austrian works from the 1880-1940 period, as well as exile literature.

We have excellent contacts in Europe and are very successful in locating rare and unusual items in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France - not readily accessible through the more common On-Line search vehicles. We speak German, French, Italian and Spanish and will be happy to assist you in any of these languages.

In most cases, we are able to find the title you are looking for within a week or two. If our initial search is not successful, we place your title on our A PERMANENT INTERNATIONAL WANT LIST which is automatically updated on a daily basis with matches from millions of book titles from Data Bases and On-Line catalogs worldwide. We also continue to scour trade publications, auctions reports and printed Dealer Catalog, as well as maintain our personal direct communications with the many dealers, particularly in Europe, whose vast inventories are not yet on-line.

When we have found your book we contact you.  We reserve the book for you (whenever possible!) but we do not buy until you give us your acceptance and payment.
